Next morning in Arnhem in the studio of Ineke Hans we had marvelous coffee and Dutch Apfelkuchen – apple pie – and insight into the work of Ineke, studies, models, prototypes, products, sketches, her impressive workshop where she produces in series some of her pieces … A refreshing attitude in design.
Ich bin ein einfaches Maedchen (I’m a simple girl), Ineke said. But are we really supposed to believe this? Her design is far from being naive.

Entrance. Premsala
It was a great pleasure to meet some of the programme directors of Premsela Foundation: Tim Vermeulen who is responsible for “Designworld”, and Christine Vroom who works on “Fashion Culture”. Later we had short but intense exchange of ideas with Dingeman Kuilman who is Premsela’s managing director.
We could have stayed much much longer in the studio of Satyendra Pakhale – there was such a lot to see and talk about with him, so many exciting projects and new ideas.

Studio. Tejo Remy and René Veenhuizen
While on Wedneyday 25 November Renske Brinkman of Premsela Foundation was our guide, on the second day Sonja Bäumel guided us, a graduate of Eindhoven Design Academy, and she works on a very exciting project with – you could say: living textiles – (in)visible membranes – see here: www.sonjabaeumel.at
In the morning we startet in Piet Hein Eek’s studio in Geldrop near Eindhoven – Piet is a designer and producer – and maybe his huge workshop is even more impressive than his studio.
Then Eindhoven, Design Academy, strolling through the building De Witte Dame.
Later this day, in Utrecht, Uraniumstraat, Tejo Remy and René Veenhuisen provided us with a beer and ideas.
And in the evening in Amsterdam while dinner Aldo Bakker showed us new works of his Urushi series and a lot of other, very inspiring things (or at least photos of them). At the moment he has an exhibition in Belgium: “Still Life”
