| "Museums in Munich" poster series Museums in Munich draw attention to themselves… As part of an unusual campaign, all the state and municipal museums in Munich joined forces to produce a series of posters aimed at presenting outside their own four walls their cultural richness and variety. The series was the outcome of a design competition, in which five internationally renowned designers had been invited to participate: Uwe Göbel, Pierre Mendell, Rolf Müller, Gerwin Schmidt, and Ursula Wangler. The jury, made up of representatives from the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, the Munich cultural department and tourist office, and the state museums selected the entry submitted by Pierre Mendell, with its rainbow-colored logo that impressively symbolizes the range and vivacity of Munich's museum landscape. |
