| Jewelry artist Bernhard Schobinger (born 1946 in Zurich) is a stranger to convention. Radical, and unwilling to compromise, he produces unusual associations: lime tree blossoms cast in gold, bottle necks and saw blades transformed into necklaces, poetic and sensual combinations of material that produce a mysterious aura.
Peter Egli (born 1933 in Bern), painter, sculptor, theater dance creator, jewelry smith, editor, publisher, first exhibited his works in 1961 at the first "International Exhibition of Modern Jewellery" in London. Since 1974 he has lived in Bern and northern Italy, working as a freelance author, artist and designer. He accompanies Bernhard Schobinger’s work in freefall, with neither parachute nor net. Jewelry by Bernhard Schobinger can be viewed in the Danner Rotunda – the Neue Sammlung jewelry section at the Pinakothek der Moderne – as well as in the series of large-format photographs by Annelies Štrba, which the Neue Sammlung showcases in its permanent exhibition at the Pinakothek der Moderne. Greeting: Prof. Florian Hufnagl, Director, Die Neue Sammlung
