Between 1987 and 1997 Christian Coigny (born 1946), the Swiss advertising and fashion photographer, staged unique encounters between renowned design objects and renowned personalities from the world of artists: stars of the international culture scene, among them Billy Wilder, Miles Davis, Alain Delon, Issey Miyake, Milos Forman, Ellsworth Kelly and Robert Wilson were all featured on innovative seating by world famous designers, the motto of the campaign being "Top Chairs for Top People". The outcome: "Personalities": the winner of several awards, this was one of the most influential advertising campaigns of modern times. | |
