Die Neue Sammlung is inviting Prof. Suska Mackert\u2019s \u201cClass for Fine Arts \/ Gold and Silversmithing\u201d at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg to present works at the Pinakothek der Moderne in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Since 2008 the exhibition format \u201cUnder the stairs\u201d has enabled the early public presentation of the latest creations in the field of jewelry. The project Tableau Vivant of the Nuremberg jewelry class features works by students and alumni. Collective working is a key fundamental characteristic of Suska Mackert\u2019s class. As such, aside from the actual materials the jewelry is ultimately made of we find interwoven into these works \u201cmaterials\u201d that can be described as patterns of behavior and human expectations.

The exhibition \u201cTableau Vivant\u201d is curated by Suska Mackert in cooperation with Benjamin Lignel and Nadja Soloviev.
