Graphic design for the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Die Neue Sammlung – The International Design Museum Munich, but also for the subculture scene in Munich. For the Bavarian State Opera and the independent music label Gomma, for the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and the fashion designer Kostas Murkudis in Berlin.

Creative Director of ZEITmagazin and the alternative Munich monthly newspaper “super paper”, most recently also the quarterly newspaper for the Pinakothek der Moderne. In 2007, Mirko Borsche founded his own studio in Munich, Bureau Mirko Borsche, whose work in the fields of editorial design, book design, posters and websites has since been recognized with numerous international awards.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

For the “unplugged” exhibition, Mirko Borsche reduces the visual language of his original works to hand-painted posters: each one is unique, all in 100 x 70 cm format, all in black and white – a radical reinterpretation of the design task “poster” as an element of content within a museum exhibition.

The abstraction of the original design ideas through black brushstrokes on a light background and the format, always the same, to which the composition of large posters as well as magazine covers or CD sleeves are brought, allows an unusual, new view of the work and the design approach of the Mirko Borsche studio.
