Declaration on Digital Accessibility
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The internet portal is compatible with the BayEGovV.
The website www.die-neue-sammlung.de was launched on 15 March 2024. The implementation took place in accordance with the requirements of the Bavarian E-Government Ordinance (BayEGovV), supported by development-accompanying consulting and tests of digital accessibility. An external audit of technical and editorial accessibility took place on 15 June 2024.
There are currently information pages about the museum and this website in German sign language and in easy-to-understand language.
Since 2020, information on all exhibitions has been available in text and audio versions in easy-to-understand language. The overview pages for planning a visit and about the museum, the programme and the locations are available in both German sign language and easy-to-understand language. In addition, information on the library, Future Talks and Kunstareal can be accessed in easy-to-understand language.
All images are accompanied by alternative texts in German and English.
We apologise for the following points:
• Audio descriptions cannot be displayed via Youtube Embeded. Please use the link to switch to the platform to use audio descriptions.
• Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to mark individual foreign-language words that occur in a German context as such. This can lead to mispronunciations by the screen reader.
• Mailchimp appears after submitting the form for our newsletter and is beyond our control. There is a note for the screen reader that you will be redirected to another system at this point.
• In addition, not all pdf files offered are currently accessible in accordance with the BITV.

Enforcement procedure
If you have not received a response to your submitted accessibility request within six weeks, you can submit an application to the Landesamt für Digitalisierung, Breitband und Vermessung (LDBV) as the responsible enforcement body for a review of compliance with accessibility requirements. Upon your request, the State Office will check whether measures are required for the operator of the website.
