Raydeen and Goldorak are the names of 2 toy robots. They are action figures. You can play out battles with these toy robots.
The American company Mattel sold them in America, Asia and Europe from 1976 to 1980. They looked a little different in each place.
They are from the Shogun Warriors series. Shogun is pronounced like this: Show-goon. Many hundreds of years ago in Japan, shoguns were the leaders of warriors.
Shogun Warriors was a manga comic and animated films. Mangas are Japanese comic books. Comic books are magazines with drawings that tell the story. In the animated films, people control very large robots that look like humans.
Raydeen and Goldorak are from a series of 7 jumbo figures. Jumbo means that they are very big. They are over half a meter tall.
Raydeen is a character from the Japanese manga series: Reideen, the Brave. This toy robot has rockets and a tool that can cut through iron. The tool looks like a sickle.
Goldorak is also a manga character. He is also known as Grendizer. He is a character from the Japanese manga UFO Robot Grendizer.
The Grendizer toy robot was only sold in Europe. It could move its arms. You could even put 2 axes into the arms. Grendizer could also attack with rockets. Raydeen and Grendizer had double rollers under their feet. This made them easy to move around.
