You have to go to the basement.
Please allow extra time
to lock up your belongings.
Take the lift in the glass extension from the entrance area.
It will take you to Die Neue Sammlung.

There is barrier-free access in Barer Straße.
The museum has a car park for people with a disability.
There are two lifts for all floors.

Please allow more time,

The way to the X-D-E-P-O-T is long.

Guide dogs and epilepsy alert dogs are allowed,
if they have appropriate signs.

At the information desk you can borrow folding chairs

Die Neue Sammlung is the Design Museum
in Munich in Germany.

Die Neue Sammlung is German and means:
The New Collection.

Die Neue Sammlung was founded in the year 1925.
It is one of the oldest design museums in the whole world.
It is also one of the most important design museums.

Die Neue Sammlung has over 120 thousand objects. Objects are the things to look at in a museum.
Our museum has many objects from the last 150 years.
In our exhibition there are more than 20 different areas.

For example:
• Industrial design.
The industry produces everyday objects for
many people.
For example: Household appliances,
computers or vehicles.
• Graphic design.
For example: books, posters or packaging.
• Other areas are:
Ceramics, metal, glass, textiles and jewelry.
