AIBO ERS 210 is an entertainment robot. It looks like a dog. The Sony Design Centre in Japan designed it.

The robot has a camera and microphones. This way, it can see and hear what happens around it. With its antenna, the robot can feel when you touch it. The antenna is called touch sensor.

If you talk to the robot or touch it, it reacts with movements. If it feels happy, it wags its ears or its tail. The robot can also follow verbal commands. It knows these commands, for example: sit and lie down. It also knows its own name.

The AIBO ERS 210 was available in these colours: black, silver, gold, red, blue, green and white. In 2002, it cost about 1,300 euro.
