Raydeen and Goldorak are action figures from the Shogun Warriors toy range, which Mattel sold in various versions on the American, Asian, and European markets between 1976 and 1980. Both figures belong to the group of seven jumbo figures, which boast a height of 60 cm. They are based on robots of the same name from Japanese manga and mecha anime, in which humans control giant, often humanoid-like robots.

Raydeen comes from the Japanese series Reideen, the Brave. The figure is equipped with rockets and a sickle-shaped iron cutter.

The Goldorak character (also known as Grendizer) is based on the Japanese manga UFO Robot Grendizer and was distributed exclusively in Europe. Movable arms with connectors allow the figure to attack with two axes that can be joined together to form another weapon, and the shogun is also able to attack opponents with rockets.

Two double castors under the feet of each figure mean the shoguns can move dynamically. The name “shogun” originally applied to the military governors who ruled Japan from the late 12th century until the second half of the 19th century.
