Symposia in cooperation with the iF Design Foundation

Under the title Designing Design Education – Impulse for a New Curriculum, the iF Design Foundation and Die Neue Sammlung have agreed on a joint programme for three years from 2022.

Together with international partner institutions, the programme will work on the further development of modules that can be used to update design studies.
Die Neue Sammlung will become a public campus.

The starting point is the universally expressed realisation that design education should be updated from a variety of perspectives. The project aims to provide universities with a tried and tested range of applicable tools and tips that they can use for their specific transformation.

Workshops will be held on the first two days of each event. Based on the current state of research, practical experiences are shared in the workshops and applied to concrete situations in design teaching.

Each campus event is rounded off by a public symposium that reflects on the findings of the workshops and discusses them with the public audience in the
X-D-E-P-O-T of the Pinakothek der Moderne.

The workshop and symposium will be documented for subsequent publication (audio, photo and video). The language of the event is English.

A group of people are standing around a table with various objects that they are touching. People are laughing. Posters from the workshop hang on a wall in the background.
