Design für Alle

The first collection presentation on inclusive design

About the exhibition

Die Neue Sammlung is putting on a new exhibition.
The exhibition is called:
Design for All.
The exhibition is a permanent exhibition.
This means:
The exhibition will remain in the museum for a long time.
It opens on 3 December 2026.

Many designers want to make things for everyone.
This has been the case for a long time.
This is called: Inclusive Design.
Inclusive Design is a technical term.
It means:
All people should be able to use things.
The things should be good for all people.
The things should be beautiful for all people.
But there are no permanent exhibitions on this topic in museums.
There are only special exhibitions on the subject.

Many people and companies think:
Inclusive design is only important for a few people.
But that’s not true.
When many people work on something,
great new things come out of it.
When people have different needs,
they become creative.
They design new things for many people.

The objects in the exhibition show, for example:
How do other people live?
What do other people need?
The exhibition shows:
Inclusive design can help everyone.
And inclusive design can be beautiful for everyone.
The exhibition aims to show:
Inclusive design is an important part of art and culture.
