Der Keramikkünstler Ashraf Hanna (* 1967) nimmt mit seiner ursprünglich für das Victoria & Albert-Museum in London geschaffenen Installation Bezug auf den „Arabischen Frühling“. Teil dieses politischen Umbruchs war die am 25. Januar 2011 durch die Proteste auf dem Tahir-Platz in Kairo ausgelöste „Ägyptische Revolution“.

Eugene Ofori Agyei, Installation “Bond”, 2021

Born in Ghana and currently resident in Alfred, New York, Eugene Ofori Agyei is an artist and educator who studied Industrial Design with a focus on Ceramics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana until 2018. He subsequently relocated to Florida, where he rounded out his Ceramics studies at the university there, attaining a Master in Fine Arts (MFA) in 2023.
