Sami Haddadin is the founding director and executive director of the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI), holder of the Chair of Robotics and System Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and an IEEE Fellow.
In an interview with museum director Dr Angelika Nollert, he talks about the symbiosis between humans and machines. The focus is on the future and development of AI and robotics, based on the exhibition at Die Neue Sammlung from 16 July 2021 to 18 September 2022.
In the conversation, Haddadin himself raises important questions: Will robots replace humans? How do I access software? What is the difference between software and physical objects?
The two discuss important questions relating to design, technology development, ethics and the experience of software in museums.
