Opening. Faded Future – Taiwan photographs by Michael Nischke

The exhibition FADED FUTURE at Matti Suuronen’s FUTURO house, located in front of the Pinakothek der Moderne’s main entrance, showcases a captivating selection of 15 photographs by Munich-based photographer Michael Nischke, offering a richly contrasting display that captures the decline of a futuristic holiday park in Taiwan.

What kinds of things in our surroundings are designed?
How different can chairs and cameras look?
Why is something red?
What materials are typically used for certain objects?
When do you use images, and when do you use text on posters?

You can explore all of this together with Smik, the little colorful mascot, in the digital game “Design in Line.” Nearly 300 objects from the collection can be sorted by nine characteristics:
